What usually goes wrong
- No output, or an output that sags under load.
- It blows its fuse at switch-on.
- The output runs high and trips on overvoltage.
- A high-voltage supply for a gauge, mass spectrometer or deposition source that will not come up.
- Burnt parts, bulged capacitors or heat damage on the board.
